Silver
Green can be a very elegant color for the shoes you wear with it should be too. Silver shoes are widely available and will play out beautifully in the context of a dark green dress. Silver shoes are probably the easiest color to find in fancy footwear and come in all styles and varieties. You are best to go with either a high-heeled or flat shoes, depending on your height and clothing. Mid heel height seems strange look in silver and will not work as consistently against the green dress.
Style
The style of shoe will depend entirely on the style of dress. A peep-toe heel work with a cocktail-length dress, while a traditional pump is probably the best for a floor-length dress. The knee or above will have the option of a great strappy sandal. The green dress wonderfully lends itself to various styles, but if the dress is too complex, sticking to a solid silver or green shoe is probably the best.
